“Your Vibe Attracts Your Tribe!“

I have been living by this quote for some time now. I remember the day I wrote this quote
down and had it in my office while I was still working in corporate America. I have chosen this quote to be my mission statement.

I truly believe when you surround yourself with people that reflect who you are and who you want to be, it helps you grow, and pursue your goals.

I want for every interaction to be genuine and to engage with like-minded people. I understand the importance of being around people with different perspectives and experiences to extend my mindset in order to elevate my goals and also to be supported.

The women in my life have seen me at my lowest and at my highest. They are honest and encouraging. Because of these women, “My Tribe”, I have been able to deepen my purpose and passion as well as build my confidence which has allowed me to leave corporate America and expand my “side hustle” to a full-time partnership business.

I can’t express how important these women are in my life and I may not have been able to have such a smooth transition without them. Their honesty has helped me know when the timing was right, to push me out of my comfort zone, and hold my hand during the entire process.

I won’t say it was easy, there was fear, there were doubts. It was like the feeling you feel when you are about to get on a major roller coaster for the first time, your stomach has butterflies, and you question if you can really go through with it. You know that feeling?

Your circle may need to decrease in order for the value to increase.

Be sure the people in your circle understand you to your core. As well, you need to understand their ambitions and values so you can serve each other. “My Tribe” happened organically, through life experiences and allowing my soul to be open to following the journey set out before me by my faith.

There may have been a couple of bad weeds that needed to be pulled out over time, which isn’t always easy to do. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t just kick friends to the curb, but the ones that were not working for me, my vision, my passion and values knew it and as organic as it was to build my tribe, it was just as organic for the ones not serving me to step aside.

This circle of women are all beautifully strong inside and out. We each share passions of success and wanting to leave a legacy for our families. We listen to each other on good days and bad. We share recommendations, referrals, ideas and genuinely want the best for each other. I am stronger, more confident, and more positive because of these women. I can’t wait to see where each of our successes leads us and watch each of us grow into business leaders.

Do you have a tribe? Are they serving you and your values?

I encourage you, if you do not have the right people in your life that makes you feel 1000% every day, to begin to desire this. Bring this energy to the table and see what interaction you get. Be sure you understand yourself first in order to surround yourself with the right people. Ones that allow you to call and share your crazy idea with or cry with when that idea did not go so well. To be there when you cut the red ribbon on your new business and blast it out across social media. These are my women, ‘My Tribe”. I owe them so much more than I can give them.

Here are some steps to define and understand yourself:

    • Find a quiet space with no distractions
    • Write down what your strengths are
    • List two-three things your passionate about
    • Last, list all your fears and what in your life is not serving you, rip this part off from your list and crumple it up and discard it. This will release that energy so you can push forward.

If you are still unsure, I suggest reading Atomic Habits by James Clear.

When you can understand who you truly are, your purpose will become larger than your fears. Focus on your strengths and passions and this will lead you to a place of peace, and success will find you before you know it.

You are the sum of the 5 people you are surrounding yourself with, so be sure you have the right people in your life.
